 Department Overview

The Arapahoe Business Department is proud to offer a very diverse range of courses to prepare individuals for not only a potential career in business, but also for any career choice in life.  Whether you are a doctor, musician, or architect, business skills and knowledge are essential to your success.

Our college prepartory curriculum allows you to choose a pathway of study (marketing, technology, finance) based upon your individual interest, or you can explore different types of courses to try to identify your true area of interest.  Students who complete a defined sequence of courses can earn a Business Certificate of Proficiency which are impressive credentials on both college and job applications.  Click here for more information on these certificates.

The AHS  Business Department is also unique in the extracurricular and co-curricular opportunities we offer for students to become involved beyond their classes and apply their knowledge, while at the same time meet new friends and gain invaluable leadership experience.  Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club is open to all students interested in the area of business and DECA (An Association of Marketing Students) is for those with a specific interest in marketing.  Members of these clubs have the opportunity to compete with students across the state and nation.  We're excited to have the opportunity to get students excited about business - it will be an integral part of their future!

Thank you for visiting our web page and do not hesitate to contact us with any further questions.
